Gate Valves

Gate valves are commonly used for all types of applications, and can conveniently be installed both above ground and underground. They can be used in fully open or fully closed patterns. They\'re generally installed as isolating valves in pipelines, and the stem can be rotated either clockwise to open (CTO) or clockwise to close (CTC). The gate moves up and down on the threaded section when the valve stem is in operation. These valves are often used in situations with free bore and minimum capacity for pressure loss. A typical gate valve does not obstruct the flow path, minimizing pressure loss. These multi-turn valves efficiently prevent water hammer effects. They turn multiple times to return from open to close.

At Evergreen Midwest, we stock two types of gate valves at competitive prices: Parallel Gate Valves and Wedge-Shaped Gate Valves. Parallel gate valves each use a flat gate between two parallel seats. In each wedge-shaped gate valve, there is a slightly mismatched inclined gate and two inclined seats.
