Cryogenic Gate Valves
The Gate valve can be used in systems that are both above-ground and below-ground with extreme versatility, they work with gases such as Oxygen (O2) and Carbon Dioxide (CO2), and liquids such as Liquid Oxygen (LOX) and Liquid Nitrogen (LN2). Often used as an isolation valve, the stem can be rotated either clockwise (open port) or counterclockwise (close port) with internals (similar to check valves) that internally shift on the thread ports. A secondary use would be “free boring” which does not obstruct the flow path, minimizing pressure loss.
